General description
Detached single family house designed following the Passive House principles in a traditional concrete and brick construction with exterior ETICS insulation. The access of the house is from the closed west facade, with a small hall which leads to the two volumes in the north with the bedrooms, to the main volume with the living room in the ground floor and an office in the first floor, and the volume of the kitchen facing the south. Although the buildings geometry follows the architectural concept and is not compact which is a disadvantage in winter, this lower compactness helps in summer to avoid overheating. The design does also take into account renewable energies by using solar panels. On the other hand it counts with a system of rain water use with storage below the building which makes the owners totally independent from public water supply.
